Skip to main contentBiographyDavid Palladini was born in Italy, but came to the United States when he was very young and grew up in Highland Park, Illinois. He received his art training at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. In addition to illustrating books, Mr. Palladini has received many awards and citations for his work in poster design and the graphic arts. Jane Yolen's The Girl Who Cried Flowers, which he illustrated, was chosen by the New York Times for its list of The Best Illustrated Books of 1974, and was selected by the American Institute of Graphic Arts for the Bratislava International Biennale (B.I.B.) 1975.
