Curatorial RemarksThis view of N. C. Wyeth's barn shows the building with the ell that was added to the east facade. It is probably no. 48 in Carolyn Wyeth's early 1970s inventory of paintings in the studio, "N. C. Wyeth Barn at Chadds Ford in Summer" (Brandywine River Museum library). She sold the painting in 1984 as "Wyeth's Barn."
