Curatorial RemarksStylistically, this sheet of drawings, featuring several cowboys, a hat, saddle, boots, riding crop and holster, is consistent with work NCW did prior to October 1902 when he joined the Howard Pyle School, This is borne out by a certificate affixed to the reverse of the drawing, which reads, in Andrew Wyeth's hand: These early drawings were done by my father, N. C. Wyeth, before he came to Howard Pyle. Andrew Wyeth.
