Curatorial RemarksThe Brandywine River Museum of Art holds a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.145) made from the drawing and used in the transfer of the design from paper to panel (NCW548). Although two large cracks in the lantern slide distort the image, the lantern slide clearly shows the original appearance of the drawing, before the upper third of the drawing was separated along a horizontal seam and lost.
