Curatorial RemarksThis charcoal drawing was most likely done while Wyeth attended the Eric Pape School of Art in Boston. A photograph (#2) published in Pape's school brochure for 1901/1902 (BRM library) showing the student exhibition in June, 1901, includes drawings of the same model in the same pose from a different angle.
