Curatorial RemarksThe dating of the work rests with the current owner's recollection which corresponds to Andrew Wyeth's assesment given during conservation treatment in April 2005 ( "very late, around 1938 or so"--AW to Joyce Stoner). The earthenware bottle and the bowl are still in the collection at the artist's studio (Brandywine River Museum, NCWS.95.1813 and NCWS.95.6634).
