Curatorial RemarksN. C. Wyeth's daughter Ann is shown on the porch of the family house in Port Clyde; the date of the painting is based on Ann Wyeth McCoy's recollection that she was about 15 years old at the time. N. C. Wyeth's studio is in the background, and in the distance the village of Port Clyde.
NCW 2646 is a composition drawing for the painting.
