Curatorial RemarksAt the same time, Andrew Wyeth executed a pen and ink drawing of the same subject (see Andrew Wyeth catalogue raisonne number 1977R / 1424).

Pupils of the Howard Pyle summer school used Turner's Mill as studio space. Wyeth also used the mill as studio space in 1907, when he and his wife rented an apartment at nearby Windtryst, an elaborate Victorian-style mansion.
