Curatorial RemarksAn archival photograph stamped on the reverse M. Knoedler & Co. and annotated "#54813" and "Needham, Mass." is the link between a painting received at Knoedler's in 1956 as "Landscape" and one exhibited the following year as "Needham Massachusetts" (Brandywine River Museum catalogue raisonne files). The Wyeths lived in Needham from the fall of 1921 to the summer of 1923.
