Curatorial RemarksThe title authority rests with a letter to the present owner from Carolyn Wyeth, dated December 4, 1982, and a card in Carloyn Wyeth's earlier inventory of work in her father's studio (Brandywine River Museum library, NCW collections). The card may indicate that at the time of the inventory (early 1970s) the title may have been associated with the painting in some way. Although Andrew Wyeth was unable to precisely identify the location of this painting, he agreed it was a Chadds Ford landscape (Andrew Wyeth to Amy Morey, 8/2006).
