Curatorial RemarksThis is probably one of Wyeth's early drawings for this composition, which he painted more than once. The Brandywine River Museum holds a larger and more finished drawing (NCW 2058) from which the artist had a lantern slide made. Related paintings are NCW 608 and NCW 1426.
