Curatorial RemarksThis painting was considered for exhibition at the Brandywine River Museum in 1982; paperwork in conjunction with Chadds Ford, PA, 1982 indicates the figure was identified, probably by a member of the Wyeth family, as Jim Jenkins, a Chadds Ford resident who worked as a handyman for the Wyeths (Brandywine River Museum curatorial files, outgoing receipt No. 2295). The present title occurs in paperwork by Carolyn Wyeth at the time of the sale (1982).
