Curatorial RemarksThis painting must be dated in error--perhaps "1937" was applied later at the time of the gift to Roscoe Hupper. The painting was unquestionably exhibited in October, 1935, number 11 in "The Wyeth Exhibition" sponsored by the Chester County Art Association, as "Island Farm, 1935."
