Curatorial RemarksWyeth participated in a pen and ink group with other Howard Pyle School of Art students. In a letter dated Feb. 20, 1903, Wyeth wrote "We were to have had a Pen and Ink meeting last night, but t'was so cold and Mr. Pyle could not come so it is postponed. The subject given was "The End." Samuel Bancroft, Jr. was a local patron of the arts who built four studios on North Rodney Street in Wilmington which the Howard Pyle students used.
