Curatorial RemarksNCW 1467 is the completed mural; NCW 944 the presentation painting. The Andrew and Betsy Wyeth collection includes a number of portrait studies for the figures of the trustees depicted in the right side of the mural (see NCW 2148, NCW 2149, NCW 2150, NCW 2151, and NCW 2232). The Brandywine River Museum holds lantern slides (NCWS.95.1825.27 and .28) made from each half of the drawing and probably used in the transfer of the design from paper to canvas.
