Curatorial RemarksThe Brandywine River Museum holds a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.322) made from the drawing prior to the losses along the right edge. The lantern slide was probably used in the transfer of the design from paper to panel (NCW 1006), although the finished painting differs from the drawing with the addition of the glass paneled windows.
