Curatorial RemarksThis piece was removed from the N. C. Wyeth studio in September 1995. In February 2008 it was examined by Andrew Wyeth who attributed it to N. C. Wyeth. Andrew Wyeth felt that the seated woman "might" be the artist's mother. AW also remembered that a woman who gave his father early art lessons, a Mrs. McKissik (which is a phonetic spelling of AW's pronunciation of the name), had a parrot.
