Curatorial RemarksThe piece was removed from the N. C. Wyeth studio in September 1995. In January 2008, it was examined by N. C. Wyeth who confirmed the attribution to N. C. Wyeth. The same face of an old woman appears on NCW 2537 (96.1.121), which is dated 1899.
