Curatorial RemarksThis drawing is known only by a photograph of it which was sold on Ebay on July 20, 2014, among items from the estate of James P. Simpson. In the lot were letters and other photographs sent to Simpson from Anton Kamp.
The inscription on the reverse of the photograph was mostly illegible on website, however some of it confirmed that Kamp was drawn while posing for a version of the Alexander Hamilton mural, part of the suite Wyeth did for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston (M11, NCW 899 or M.12, NCW 798).
