Curatorial RemarksThis is the composition drawing for John Alden and Priscilla (NCW 445), a mural for the Met Life Insurance Company. The sheet is ruled and ready for transfer. Photographic negatives and lantern slides of the drawing were found in John McCoy's studio (see Ann Wyeth McCoy collection, Brandywine Museum Library). McCoy helped his father-in-law transfer the images from paper to canvas.
