Curatorial RemarksN. C. Wyeth met Douglas Fairbanks in 1926. According to the present owner, an inscription on the reverse of the drawing says it was done while watching a movie of Don Quixotte in 1927. The inscription may have been added later based on a faulty memory: Douglas Fairbanks appeared in The Gaucho in 1927, and never played Don Quixote.
