Curatorial RemarksThe drawing includes only the wings and heads of the angels seen at Christ's feet in the final design; the bottom portion of the drawing is missing, and the top portion is enlarged. The Brandywine River Museum holds a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.31) probably made from this drawing and showing the two missing angels; and the composition drawings for both the right (NCW 2038) and left (NCW 2062) panels that make up the complete reredos design.
