Curatorial RemarksGrace G. Drayton was one of the first and most successful American women cartoonists. Best remembered for the Campbell Soup Kids she introduced in 1904, Drayton drew the monthly paper doll page "Dolly Dingle" for Pictorial Review from 1913 to 1933. She also drew postcards, comic strips and many magazine and book illustrations. Young, p. 218.
