Curatorial RemarksThe Abbot was considered one of the two fastest trotters in the world. Owned by John J. Scanneil, he was defeated in Readville, MA, Sept. 21, 1901 (NYT, Spet. 22, 1901, p. 1). Boralma was owned by Boston resident Thomas L. Lawson.
