Frank Delle Donne’s portrait of his nephew Peter Wyeth Hurd reveals a little about what it might feel like to pose for a portrait. The young boy’s slumped posture and sleepy eyes are the very picture of boredom. In the Wyeth family it was not unusual to be asked to pose for portraits—and Peter would sit for several more of his artistic relatives throughout his lifetime.
