Curatorial RemarksThese figures do not relate closely to figures in any known work. The drawing calls to mind the figures of the sirens in Wyeth's 1929 "The Sirens" (NCW 588), however, on closer examination the figures in the present work are differently oriented. The drawing came from the N. C. Wyeth studio collection; most of those drawings date from the later portion of Wyeth's career.
