Curatorial RemarksThis work originally bore the number 96.1.196, a number that had been also given to a drawing of an old woman in a Windsor chair. 96.1.561 was assigned in February 2008 during an inventory of the bequest. The drawing was removed from the NCW studio in September 1995, and in February 2008 it was examined by Andrew Wyeth who confirmed it was N. C. Wyeth's work.
