Curatorial RemarksAlthough Betsy James Wyeth dated this drawing to 1896-1897, it is likely later, in reference to the outbreak of the 2nd Boer War in Oct. 1899. The figures are John Bull, representing Great Britain, and President Paul Kruger of the South African Republic.
