Curatorial RemarksBetsy James Wyeth dated this drawing to 1896-1897. It is obviously part of a group done in 1897 (See NCW 2246.370 and NCW 2246.369.) Mark Gormell (3/12/2009) suggested that the plants depicted might be similar to Erythronium americanum (trout lily, dog tooth violet, adders tongue, fawn lily).
