Curatorial RemarksThis drawing is related to two drawings held by the Brandywine River Museum, NCW 729 (96.1.74) and NCW 1571 (96.1.75). NCW 2246.290-297 are also related to one of Wyeth's earliest known commissions, published in "The Banner of Light," a spiritualist newspaper printed in Boston. Wyeth's work for the Banner of Light was noted by his mother in a letter to Alfretta Archibald, Dec. 31, 1900 (Brandywine River Museum Library).
