Curatorial RemarksAndrew Wyeth attributed this drawing to his father. A note in Betsy James Wyeth's hand reads "showing Peter Hurd about Whitman ad." Hurd was associated with advertising for Whitman's Candies between 1929 and 1931. This drawing pertains to NCW 1966, an oil on canvas featuring a similar scene.
