Curatorial RemarksThis composition drawing was photographed to make a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.75, Brandywine River Museum of Art) that the artist used in the transfer of the design from paper to finished painting (NCW 596). NCW 123 is a figure study for the drawing, and NCW 2548 (BRMA, 96.1.146) is a hand study.
