Curatorial RemarksThis and NCW 1068 are probably the earliest views of "Pyle's Barn," one of the artist's favorite motifs for over a decade. The barn was part of the property Wyeth rented in Chadds Ford from April 1908 to 1911; the Chadds Ford Pyles were not directly related to Howard Pyle.
