Curatorial RemarksThe view is looking southwest to the barn and house belonging to Burt Guest, whose property was adjacent to the property the Wyeth family rented from 1908 to 1911. The Guest barn is recognizable in other paintings, such as NCW 214, NCW 1047, and NCW 2356. Beyond the Guest property is Chadds Ford village.
