Curatorial RemarksAmong the expenses for this painting that Wyeth listed in his 1940 income tax notes were $42.00 for costume rental and $12.00 for unspecified reference books. The Brandywine River Museum holds a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.155) made from the drawing and used in the transfer of the design from paper to panel.
