Curatorial RemarksBy inscriptions documented to have been on the original stretcher, this work is most likely "The Meadow," from the Philadelphia, PA 1912(1) exhibition. In a letter to the present owner, Andrew Wyeth has identified the location as a view of Harvey's Run, a creek which often served the artist as a motif.
