Curatorial RemarksWyeth presented this painting to Frederick E. Stone, President of the Wilmington Savings Fund Society, in June, 1932 (Frederick E. Stone to NCW, June 17, 1932, Wyeth Family Archives). The Brandywine River Museum holds lantern slides made from this painting that Wyeth used in the transfer to the final canvas (NCWS.95.1825.41-.56).
