Curatorial RemarksA photograph of the interior of the artitst's Chadds Ford studio (filed among letters dated November 1914) shows this painting hanging above a clock on the west wall. (Wyeth Family Archives). This is the self-portrait N. C. Wyeth sent to his father at Christmas, 1915. (NCW to HZW, 12/23/1915, "On Monday I shipped two pictures--a self portrait to papa and a canvas to Babe...," Wyeth Family Archives; see also NCW to HZW, Sept. 22, 1916, requesting that the self portrait "sent home Xmas" be shipped to him for reproduction in the forthcoming American Art Student article.)
