Curatorial RemarksBarton W. Currie (1877-1962), the first owner of this painting, was the editor of Ladies' Home Journal and one of the great book collectors of his day.
The painting underwent extensive conservation treatment in 2015. The support is linen canvas wih a plain weave, ca. 38. threads per inch both horizontally and vertically.
