Curatorial RemarksThe Wyeth Family Archives includes the order from Forbes for this picture for which the artist was paid $500 (Jan. 25, 1943), and a letter to the artist informing him that the "Lumber Association" found nothing "wrong" with the picture (Feb. 10, 1943). The Brandywine River Musuem holds a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.214) of the composition drawing which was used in the transfer of the design from paper to panel. The BRM library includes copies of the Teacher's Guide, corresponding student workbook, and all educational posters for this unit (BRM 37089.1-7), developed and distributed by The Coca-Cola Company.
