Curatorial RemarksAn artist's proof of this image found in scrap book B (BRM library collection) is annotated in NCW's hand with the following caption "First illustration published Frank Leslie's, 1903." This notation is incorrect as NCW published four illustrations in the August issue of Leslie's.
