Curatorial RemarksWyeth had trouble making the deadline for this book (NCW to Henriette Wyeth Hurd, Sept. 5, 1938, Wyeth Family Archives) and Ginn and Co. published the first printing of the song book without two illustrations. This image appeared in subsequent printings. The Brandywine River Museum holds a lantern slide (NCWS.95.1825.87) of the composition drawing which was used in the transfer of the design from paper to panel.
