Curatorial RemarksThe picture is dated by a reference in a letter to Henriette Zirngiebel Wyeth ("It's 6:30 and the children...," and dated in another hand Aug. 28, 1916, Wyeth Family Archives). A month later he wrote that the ad "netted me a sum I could in no justice to my bigger ambitions refuse" (NCW to Sidney M. Chase, "Your expostulation was warranted" and dated in another hand Sept. 8, 1916, Wyeth Family Archives).
