Curatorial RemarksThis is the composition drawing for NCW 1009 (I.1259), "Robin Hood and Little John," an illustration (f. p. 370) in Edna Johnson and Carrie E. Scott, eds., Anthology of Children's Literature (Boston: Houghton Mifflin Co., 1940). The Brandywine River Museum holds a lantern slide of the drawing (NCWS.95.1825.68) used in the transfer of the design from paper to panel.
