Curatorial RemarksIn a letter to his mother dated 4/21/1916, Wyeth mentioned that he had two paintings to do for McClures. These would have been this illustration, and the one for the June issue (NCW 352), the last two Wyeth did for the magazine. Given printing and distribution times, Wyeth was working very close to deadline.
