Curatorial RemarksWyeth's work for the Jobbers OverAll Company was done through N. W. Ayer & Son, a Philadelphia advertising agency (see N. W. Ayer Advertising Agency Records, 1849-2001, Archives Center, National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution). The N. C. Wyeth studio collection includes a pair of Blue Buckle overalls (Brandywine River Museum, NCWS.95.4538). According to Jobbers OverAll promotional literature, this was the first published image in their 1918/1919 advertising campaign.
