Curatorial RemarksThe artist's original canvas was adhered to a hardboard support with a wax adhesive sometime between 1966 and 1974. According to archival photography at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the following inscriptions were documented on the reverse of the canvas: (1 illegible line) / 20(1 illegible digit)25 / "Keep your arms folded" / Education of Trooper Brown / (faint stamp on canvas) / Cty / C. 7453.
