Curatorial RemarksIn a letter written from Port Clyde NCW asked, "I am wondering how Andy liked his fire engine?" (NCW to Carolyn Bockius Wyeth, dated by NCW "Port Clyde / Thursday night" and in another hand Sept. 20, 1922, Wyeth Family Archives). The following month, he reported to Sid Chase, "(I) have Andy's portrait well along" (NCW to Sidney M. Chase, "Sunday: / Dear Sid:/ With this postal came a note...," dated in another hand Oct. 16, 1922, Wyeth Family Archives).
