Curatorial RemarksThis image must have been planned originally for the July 1913 issue, since a proof in one of the artist's scrap books is clearly dated as such (Brandywine River Museum, N. C. Wyeth Archives). The July issue of New Story received at the Library of Congress did not have a pictorial cover; the image finally appeared on the September issue.
