Curatorial RemarksAt this time Century was one of those periodicals that noted the process used to reproduce many of the pictures on its pages. This image was reproduced by half-tone, a photographic process, with additional engraving on the printing plate by H. Davidson. The hand engraving added a subtlety of tone that printers could not yet achieve with exclusive use of the half-tone process.
